Faire Wholesale Platform Review: 5+ Years of Real Experience in Wholesale Operations
Share
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s actually like using Faire in a real business setting, this is my honest breakdown.
I’ve been working with it for over 5+ years in my role as a digital marketing manager supporting ecommerce and wholesale operations—so this is very much a behind-the-scenes perspective, not a quick review.
And honestly… when I started, I didn’t even fully understand what wholesale was.
I was working in a tech/media environment and gradually learning the wholesale side of the business through my role.
Then one day, my boss said:
“We are doing wholesale—can you find platforms where we can sell?”
And that is why I ended up in this world.
What is Faire?
If you’re new to it, Faire is essentially an online wholesale platform that connects retailers and brands. Retailers can discover products from over 100,000 brands, and brands get access to new customers without having to constantly chase leads.
You can check it out here: What is Faire & How it works.
Getting Started With Wholesale
The first platform I worked with was Tundra.
We used it for about a year around 2021, and even though it’s no longer active today, it played a major role in shaping how I understood wholesale and ecommerce operations.
It helped me learn the basics of:
• Processing B2B orders outside of direct-to-consumer systems
• Understanding wholesale shipping timelines
• Managing fulfillment expectations for retail buyers
• Building consistency so retailers would reorder
Fun fact: some of those early retailers from the Tundra days are still around today.
Finding Faire (and Everything Changing After That)
Around the same time, we came across Faire
Our first order came in sometime July 2021, and I still remember that because it kind of shifted everything.
It went from “we’re trying this thing” to “okay… this actually works.”
How We Actually Use Faire Day-to-Day
In my role as a digital marketing manager, this is how it fits into our workflow:
Shopify integration (huge win)
Our products sync directly from our Shopify B2B, so we’re not recreating listings over and over again. That alone saves so much time.
1. Fulfillment flexibility
We can either ship orders ourselves or use Faire’s shipping setup—super helpful for international orders.
2. Messaging in one place
Retailers can message us directly in the platform, so everything stays organized.
3. Marketing tools built in
We use it to send out emails for new drops, best sellers, and restocks without needing extra software.
4. Everything in one dashboard
Orders, tracking, updates—it’s all centralized. Less chaos.
What Retailers Get Out of It
From the retailer side, Faire removes a lot of friction.
Some of the main benefits:
• 60-day payment terms (for eligible retailers)
• Easy ordering from multiple brands in one place
• Free returns on first orders (handled by Faire)
• Referral perks like discounts and free shipping
So it’s not just easier for brands—it also makes it easier for retailers to try new products.
Other Platforms We Tried (After Faire)
After working with Faire, we explored other platforms to see if anything else compared.
We tried:
• Peeba
• Juniper
• Brandboom
But honestly… we didn’t get any meaningful traction from them. And even now, I still don’t have a clear answer why.
Maybe timing.
Maybe audience fit.
Maybe platform visibility.
But what it showed me is that not every platform works the same way in real life.
And to this day, nothing has matched Faire in terms of what works best for us besides Shopify B2B(Atopic for another day:)).
What This Experience Taught Me
If I had to sum it up:
• Wholesale is more about consistency than perfection
• The platform you use really affects your workload
• Not everything that looks good on paper works in practice
• Simple systems that work well will always win long-term
And from a digital marketing perspective, it also showed me how much backend systems impact growth more than people think.
Final Thoughts
From everything I’ve seen in my role, Faire has been the most consistent wholesale platform we’ve used over the past 5+ years.
Not perfect. Not flashy. Just reliable—and that matters a lot in day-to-day work.
From that first order in 2021 to now, it’s stayed part of the workflow without becoming complicated.
What really makes it stand out though is how smooth the entire experience is—from the very beginning of creating your account, syncing products from Shopify or even via an Excel export, to receiving an order, updating it, and getting it out the door.
And on the other side, retailers receiving their orders, leaving reviews, and coming back as repeat customers—it all just flows.
That full connection between systems and customers feels seamless.
On top of that, their customer service has been reliable—whether it’s through live chat or email follow-ups, responses are timely and actually helpful, which makes a big difference when you’re in the middle of managing orders.
And honestly, even small things like getting reminders when an order is due make a difference—especially with how busy day-to-day work can get. It helps keep everything on track without constantly checking.
And in wholesale, that kind of consistency, ease, and support is everything.
If you’re exploring wholesale, it’s definitely one worth understanding properly—not just testing quickly.
